2017 Preparedness Academy - Psychological First Aid

This self-registration process for Pierce County Preparedness Academy is simple and quick! If you have trouble accessing the information or have questions, e-mail mlovell@co.pierce.wa.us and let Peggy know! 

You will not receive an automatic confirmation after registering. However, you will receive a reminder notice, with details, the week prior to the class. Note, all classes have a minimum size requirement. You will be notified if the class is canceled.

All attendees to the class will have their names entered into a drawing for Fantasy Lights in December.  An address is required to win so we can mail the tickets to the winner.

Who is this class for
 Neighborhoods who are part of a Pierce County Neighborhood Emergency Team or CERT team.
 Emergency Management Volunteers: Shelter teams, EOC, HAM operators, Citizen Corps members
 Residents who want to be able to assist family and those around them in time of emergencies and       disaster.

People's reactions to crisis vary. Learn which reactions are harmful and how some are actually beneficial. Take away some important tools you can use to connect with affected people and provide immediate emotional support following an emergency.
